LEGO Botanicals Woodland Mushrooms - 11505, 806 Pieces

Love it

Gift for my sister in-law, she is an avid LEGO builder. She got me started and now whenever I have spare time it's my favorite hobby!!

I had this Botanical Lego Set on my wish list since day of launch, but patiently waited for it to be on sales as I found it a bit pricy for a Lego Botanical Set. I wanted to create a little corner of Wonderland, by adding the Alice in Wonderland BrickHeads next to it. I ended up in receiving it as a gift, from my other half, a gesture which brought a lot of joy. Really enjoyed the build, aa was less repetitive than the usual Botanical Sets. Now, I can say, I am ready for Autumn.

So excited Macy's had this set. My only issue was that the packaging was slim without any bubble wrap and my Lego set was damaged along with the shipping box which seemed to have been dropped many times.

Bought it as addition to other botanics lego I have and because it looked fairyish to me. It appeared even better than I imagine and worth the money I paid for it.

First off, the set is beautifully detailed with the foliage and grass, and there’s some nice parts usage that has come to be a part of the Botanicals collection. However, I just felt that there were some strange choices made with the design such as the exposed red technic rod in the middle of the stump - something I’ve covered with a 1x1 round stud — but then there is still a lot of empty space around that area that I felt could have been dressed a little more with foliage or grass pieces. I also found the design of the raised bridge section really peculiar, and thought there were some missed opportunities that could have been explored here - like little easter eggs of the undergrowth in the large space it presents. I understand that LEGO are trying to reduce the piece count of the sets, but I felt like there were some really beautiful parts of the build that were let down by some unusual choices.

This was a fun and interesting build! Loved all the different build techniques that went into this set. Was never boring or repetitive. Great, quick little build!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this free complimentary from Influenster and Lego. The package was very well packed with brown paper. No cooking. The quantity has a lot of legos. The consistency is hard, plastic, and LEGO woodland mushrooms.

This is so cute! I bought it especially for my Alice in Wonderland Brickheadz to go in. I had to do a little adjusting but it is the perfect set to display them in. Love it!

This little kit was a very enjoyable experience. The design, shape and colour pallet is well balanced. I also appreciated the information about the various mushrooms the booklet contained.
