The ridges add texture visually however they can feel uncomfortable while leaning against the pillow. The pillow is firm and supportive against the lower back. The size is great for an average 3 person sized couch. The color is a tad pink rather than brown.

It is very well made, with a zipper hidden on the backside to remove and wash the exterior.
