Johnston & Murphy Men's Ackerson Lace-Up Sneakers

There are plenty of fashionable black shoes out there. But most of them, including other models on Johnston & Murphy, are NOT ergonomic in terms of heel and arch support. Even ones that claim to be ergonomic (e.g. XC+) tend to have terrible arch support. This TRUFOAM system is the only style I've found to have good support for getting 9000 steps a day and I hope Johnston & Murphy continue to manufacture it long into the future so I can continue to have shoes that look good AND are truly ergonomic.

Love these shoes, very light weight, made very well. Can wear with dress clothes or casual clothes. Wish could have them in navy blue.

I recently purchased these shoes for my boyfriend as a gift/surprise and instantly he loved them!!! the color is perfect as it matches with almost all outfits. The material is perfect, stylish and very easy to clean. These are the perfect shoe to elevate any outfit. I specificially bought them for him for our recent trip abroad to italy and he wore them almost every day!! he said they are perfectly comfortable and never once complained about his feet even with all the walking! i can not recommend this shoe enough! I was able to use a first time buyer coupon to get it on sale as well which was really nice! as this was my first purchase and i was so happy with it i cant wait to buy more from this company and get some more nice clothes for my partner :)

They look good with casual pants, but not with shiny dress pants. Fit is also big in my opinion. I ordered a size 15, which is what I wear in all other shoes, nike, new balance, Jordan and they fit way too big. May have to find a different style in a size down. I also have a narrow foot and they fit loose as well. I would say these are at least 1/2 to 1 full size too big.

I bought these to go on a Disney vacation with the family. After only a couple hours break in I did 20k steps with total comfort. I’m a 300 pounder so it takes a great shoe to keep me pain free. These delivered.

In general I love Johnston and Murphy shoes, the fit perfectly well sized and wear very well, plus no real break-in period. Not to mention they look great for business and for recreation. I wore them the first time on an 10+ hour day that included standing on my feet for 3-4 hours at a time and I had NO pain in my feet, ankles, knees, hips or back! There isn't anything negative to say about these shoes, I really do love them.

I sure do like these. Makes walking around all evening a pleasure. Very soft and cushiony. Not sure if the right word, however, your feet feel great.
