I love clothes with vertical stripes and would have loved these jeans but the length was off. They are thick and have an elastic type waist feel despite the button fly which is great if you tend to bloat or carry weight in the belly. I just need these in petite sizing even though I am 5'6" as they weren't short enough to be ankle length and not long enough to wear as a regular pant.
