The fit and feel of these jeans is great. The wash is a good color. The waist fits well and the jeans are a good weight. However, the shape of the barrel leg just doesn’t look flattering on my body type. I am 5’4 and 140 lbs. The jeans are a bit too long and they “buckle” just under the knee which looks too bulky. I really wanted to love these, but they just don’t work for me.
I went into these jeans, expecting the five pocket design to feel a little more cargo inspired, so the style was different from what I pictured it in my head. Once I tried them on, though I love the high-rise fit in the barrel lake shape.. they’re comfortable and have a nice amount of stretch as well as fits well through the waist and hips without feeling restrictive. The denim itself surprised me.. it feels thinner and softer than traditional denim, which makes the jeans flexible, but the fabric has a slightly unusual feel that I’m still on the fence about. I also expected them to feel a little lighter and more breathable based on the weight of the material. The dark wash is nice and easy to style although I personally would have preferred a brighter or more medium blue wash to give the design a little more dimension. My biggest issue is the length. I expected a longer almost floor length barrel gene, but these hit closer to a cropped or ankle length style on me. They’re so cute and comfortable in the barrel shape comes through nicely, but the shorter length changes the overall look I had in mind. I don’t see myself reaching for these as an everyday favorite, but they’re a nice option to have when I want something different from a traditional straight or white.
I was excited to recieve these jeans from Style and Co and I have to say the quality is magnificent. My wife mentioned the fit was amazing and was really smooth material inside and out. She didn’t notice to much stretch but it fit just right.
