MAC Squirt Balm Shimmer Gloss Stick

These lip glosses are nice on their own, but meant to be an overlay to a lip color underneath. So fabulous, and creates dimension and fuller lips.

Quantity, finished fast. Wear did not last long

First off, I LOVE the color amped, and it feels amazing on my lips. The color looks incredibly bright in the tube, but it looks soft once it's on. Here is why I give it only 3 stars: The mechanism that is supposed to raise and lower the lip balm does not work. The tube only makes a cranking noise but doesn't actually raise the product; hence, there is not much to love. Disappointed, MAC.

(Related to Solar Sparks and not the other plumping gloss sticks) This doesn't show up very glossy/high shine (which is why I labeled it a 4 out of 5, but I still love it.), so I personally layer another product on top. Gold usually makes my lips feel washed out, but this one doesn't. It lasts for a while, and when it fades a bit, it still looks pretty. The plump is subtle and not painful. I am on my way to get the squirt sparks.

I really like that this is a milder lip plumper. I've tried others that burn way too much, so if you want something that just tingles a bit instead of hurting, this is a great choice. It goes on completely clear and looks really glossy. The plumping isn't super dramatic or instant since it's on the weaker side, but it's perfect if you just want a nice, subtle plump. I did notice my lips get used to it if I wear it constantly, so I just wait a little while between uses to get the effect again. So much shimmer and shine! I like this new plumping gloss stick. It has the same og Mac sweet cupcake scent. It glides on and effortlessly gives my lips more of a pout.
