Due to the nature of the reactive glaze each piece is uniquely crafted and its true. You know how some plates are bumpy and wasn't suppose to get pass quality control well these are smooth and are only going to be used for special occasions I will cherish these. Very happy with them. They are microwave safe and can handle hot foods being placed on them. I like that each piece is slightly different which makes it unique in its own way. I also liked the dinner plate, salad bowl, and small plate they are a good size for portion control. They haven't lost their finish after multiple washes which is good. It's a very subtle blue was hoping for more of a pop in color but otherwise this is a good set.

The blue is vibrant and pairs well with all kinds of food to create an inviting vibe to the dinner table. The sizes are perfect, love the depth of the bowls giving them great functionality across the board. They also feel great and are easy to cut on without leaving marks. I banged a plate a couple times against the countertop on accident and they held up very well. Highly recommend this set to anyone looking to fancy up their kitchen a bit.
