The shade was not what I expected. the lamp is set off center on the base but is not real noticeable. It was very hard to attach the socket to the base as the cord twisted as you screwed it on causing it to unscrew when you let go. The base is just what I wanted and looks great in my room. I will replace the lamp shade which also had 2 small dents in it that show when the light is on.
