The shade that is included with this lamp is too small to permit the installation of bulbs. There is only 3-1/4" clearance from the edge of the socket to the inside of the lampshade. Whoever decided to pair this shade with this lamp didn't consider that the twin sockets are horizontal rather than vertical, necessitating a wider shade. The 14" bottom shade width does not permit any bulb to be installed...
