I bought this wok because it was 6.5 quarts and when it came the wok packaging says its 5.8 and very small for my purposes. so very misleading.

The 5.8 quart aluminum non-stick wok and lid Cooks differently from my traditional wok. When using a traditional wok, using high heat to create a smoking dry wok is needed to produce restaurant quality taste. But this wok is made with a special non-stick base that can separate or even liquefy, when high heat or dry boiling is used. Instructions state to use medium to low heat on the stove top, because of the combination of metals used to disperse low heat rapidly and throughout the wok. I find my fried rice taste almost the same as when I use my old wok. The rice is fried firmly and the fresh vegetables are not overcooked, giving a close representation of restaurant quality fried rice. And having the top for covering food adds an additional plus.

Perfect timing for this as I am gifting it to my husband before we start cooking chinese food tonight. Ive been looking for a wok that wasn’t too big or too small this is perfect size. Fits perfectly in my cabinet. The handle is sturdy not flimsy. No plastic smells. And its not heavy at all.

This is a really well made wok. I used it to make homemade beef and broccoli and it cooked everything so evenly. Use only on medium heat, easy clean up and I love that it came with a lid. A great staple for any kitchen and anyone who likes to cook.
