I was hesitant to order this light after the negative review, but I thought the design was so unique I wanted to see for myself. It did not disappoint. Yes, the bottom of the light is made from material other than glass, but it is barely noticeable up close and certainly not when mounted. As you can see from the photo the reflection of the globe is so interesting on the ceiling. In my opinion it is well worth the price.
