ROCKY Men's S2V Predator Military Boot

I have spent the last 15 years as a hotshot and smokejumper working in everything from traditional logger boots to hiker style boots. I have hot feet and burn through a pair of socks a day and suffer foot rot every summer.The SRV boots are a game changer. They are the most insanely comfortable boots and incredibly more cool temperature wise than any other boots I have worn in triple digit heat.

Bought these boots in June and a few days later I was working as overhead on an incident in the mountains. My first impression is the finish, and the boot traction is excellent! The fit for my narrow ankles is not great. The boot laced together and for my narrow ankle needs to have about a 1/2 inch less material, so they do not lace together. The other thing I would add is a pull loop on the back of the boot would be an added bonus. Without a pull loop to assist getting the boots on you have to make sure you completely loosen the boot laces. I found the boots extremely comfortable wearing them around camp. During the incident I had to complete a 6.6-mile hike that I was worried about the condition of my feet following the hike over rough terrain. To my surprise the boots did excellent on the hike and produced zero blisters or sore feet. With a few minor changes, these would be an excellent boot.

I purchased these just over a year ago( 1/25?). Been very good boots. I still wear these as of 5-25-26. I walk a lot at for my security patrols( I’m not military). I didn’t give 5stars mainly for the comfort of the sole, that wasn’t very good but I have problems with my feet. I was getting blisters and sore spots on my feet but I don’t think that was a problem with the boots. I got custom orthopedics for me feet and it was night and day difference. Maybe make the soles a little more comfortable but I understand I have problematic feet so I do t think it’s the boots.

I bought this boot 8 years ago i wear every day very happy with this product still not time to buy a new pair if your looking for a boot to go a million miles i highly suggest this boot

No boot pull straps? What are you thinking? Please consider a redesign…

These boots are well constructed, but they do not fit the calf well, they are WAY too large at the top making a large space for chafing to occur and for foreign particles to get in the boot. It also makes them difficult to lace as the top eyelets want to pull together. I don't like them and they are also VERY expensive.

This is my second pair and I love these boots. The break-in is quick and not painful and they are very comfy. Worth the money!

The boots are great, But the uppers are so darn big you can’t properly tighten them without extra space around you calves. The eyelets touch before your boots are tightened.
