Excellent Value
I purchased by first pair of Rocky Boots (the predecessor to the current Outback Gore-Tex Hiker) several decades ago when Gore-Tex was just coming to market. Over time I have other premium footwear (Keen, Rockport, Blundstone) but always have a pair of Rocky. The Grindstone XTR Waterproof Workboots are fantastic. They are comfortable straight out of the box and need only minimal break in time. The boots have a very comfortable insole and provide excellent ankle support. When traveling I generally only have one pair of footwear, and the Grindstones will now be that pair. They are a great combination of comfort, ruggedness, and style and will be perfect for everything from light hiking to casual urban walking.

Very comfortable and light.
I bought these boots December 8, 2025 and have worn them twice after receiving them. Right out of the box, they have been so comfortable, especially the sole area. They are light yet tough, but extremely enjoyable to wear. I have worn many Rocky boots over the years and still own another style. Rocky did it’s homework on these and knocked it out of the park in my opinion so far.

Awesome boots!
Bought them in time before the weather changed. These are extremely comfortable and the darker brown looks fantastic. Fantastic for raking leaves or roasting coffee in the shop. You won't go wrong getting these!

Most comfortable boot
Just bought this boot from a local boot store. By far the most comfortable boot I’ve ever had right out of the box. Seems to made well. The insole is super comfortable.
