What I am about to say is neither racist or sexist even if someone tries to make it into something. I am a white Anglo-Saxon male. I am old. I have the typical white Anglo-Saxon foot that has the common semi-high arch. I cannot buy cheap shoes and expect to actually wear them more than once. Over the years I have learned that the more expensive shoes fit my feet better and last longer. The one shoe manufacturer that always fit the best is florsheim. I bought these shoes to be work shoes. They fit, as expected, and are comfortable, as expected. The size of the shoe is as advertised. They even look just like the advertised picture. The last pair of semi-dress shoes I bought to be work shoes lasted a little over five years. I expect these to last over five years as I am starting to slow down a bit.

I needed a wide boat shoe with good support these did it. I had bought and returned 4pair before I settled on these.

I have bought several pairs of this Lakeside Ox shoes. I find them attractive and very comfortable. The only fault I see is that the soles wear out very quickly, particularly in the heel. It may be that I walk on paved surfaces which are somewhat abrasive and cause the soft soles to wear through in the heels, badly enough that small pebbles or large grains of sand work their way into the shoe and make walking uncomfortable.
