Brother XR9550 Computerized Sewing and Quilting Machine

I have been sewing for 50 years and have had mostly Singer and Kenmore…I thought I was treating myself to an even better machine that was computerized. But after following all the directions, going on line for trouble shooting about the needle falling out or even breaking if I sew more than 2 layers of cotton. I am so sorry I bought this machine even buying only brother products, needles, spools etc. I’ve used the screwdriver to tighten the screw that holds the needle but then it breaks…so sorry I thought about brother machine

It’s frustrating! Thread keeps getting stuck inside the machine and you can’t clear it because there is no access unless you open the whole machine! This happened on the first day I got it! FIRST DAY!!!

Perfect size to take to retreats because my Pfaff is super heavy.

I enjoy all the different stitches available I like the it can be used with or without the foot pedal. It can with a wide variety of feet. Easy to wind and thread bobbin.Very affordable price

This machine is easy to set up and use. I did have a little trouble at first keeping it threaded, but have since learned to do it better.

I have this machine in my wish list! I have been using a CS6000 for a few years and absolutly love my Machine, I have been researching and this will be my next option as im so excited about the extra stitches and the alphanumeric letters, This machine seems to be the perfect next step for me as I do alot of sewing and quilting and the alphanumeric will be such a bonus for me! I love that brother keeps things simple yet easy to use products! This machine shows to offer so many convenient and easy features for a fun sewing experience.I would like to possible see more room under the machine in the future so my projects arent bunched up it makes sewing slower. however this machine shows to be a perfect match for my next adventure in sewing and quilting.

Love it easy to use, auto thread could work just a little better for a man with arthritis

I purchased this machine for quilting and garment sewing. It does a great job and offers many stitch options. I did need to purchase some additional feet. The only issue is using the “automatic”needle threader. I’ve been practicing using this feature but I think I was successful only 10% of the time. After multiple attempts I finally manually thread the needle. An opportunity for improvement for sure! Otherwise a great machine.

I love this machine. It does a beautiful job and easy to use. I’ve got a Singer that I had nothing but trouble with. This Brother is a breeze. Love it.

Comes with instruction manual. Easy to follow. Love the way the machine feels. This is the best machine I have owned. The fact it has the alphabet included is a plus. Would recommend this machine for a beginner or advanced person who sews
