MSK Women's Short-Sleeve Belted Maxi Dress

This dress was adorable on but the wrong size. I loved the print and the way it hung. It was very comfortable and would have been perfect in the right size.

Bought this quickly for a funeral that was to take place in 102 degree Texas heat, where I knew all of my black outfits were going to be miserable. There wasn't a lot to choose from already in my size but I found this in the clearance aisle and grabbed for a try on. I was worried there was more cream than black and that would be seen as disrespectful, but I took a chance because when I tried it on it was so light, comfortable, and flattering that I opted to hope for the best. Once I arrived, I received so many compliments on how beautiful it looked, including from the widow. It was perfect for the outdoor heat, especially for someone like me who is very sensitive to certain materials and doesn't like things to feel tight. I also have an issue with being very "top" heavy so some outfits can look frumpy in order to be big enough around my chest. This dress actually made me look smaller and the belt created a lovely silhouette shape. I barely broke a sweat and thankfully didn't have to wear any shape wear because it wasn't see through either. All the way around a perfect option for looking put together and staying cool!
