Anne Klein Women's Houndstooth Pencil Skirt

Unfortunately, the skirt is too narrow to comfortably walk in. I knew this skirt would be long based on how it looked on the presumably really tall model, and I was willing to wear it long or hem it (mid-calf on me, 5'4"). But the slit was so small that it did not allow for enough leg movement to walk normally. It's only suitable for people who take tiny steps and don't use stairs. Definitely not me. I can't imagine what the reasoning was behind designing this skirt. Work attire should be functional and shouldn't distract people from what they need to do. I would be so annoyed if I wore this skirt, not to mention that I would feel ridiculous every time I tried to walk. Why is it so hard to buy women's clothes?
