Halston Women's Belted Midi Dress

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a fabulous dress. It is stretchy which is nice. I do believe a full length slip is warranted here tho. The lining is just not enough. It is suede and the nicest dress I e own next to my wedding gown. The gold hardware is perfect for me as I wear gold almost exclusively. I do like the collar on it and the fact it buttons the entire length of the dress is also a plus. It is heavy so durability is not an issue here. I do think it’s more suited for an indoor event where there is air conditioning or in the colder months for sure. The fact it has two pockets is good yet also troublesome to me. I love pocket as I never know what to do with my hands. But pockets add bulk and when have a little extra weight on you especially your hips, it really shows. I like it better without the belt. It’s just a tie belt. So other accents with this dress are welcomed. Then again, the gold bling on the dress, the cut, the fabric all screams Halston so what more do you need to add to make this dress any nicer? My opinion is nothing!! I have always wanted to own and wear a Halston dress (think of Billy Joel’s song Big shot from 1978) and now I have a beautiful one. The fact it is tan means I can accessorize it differently everytime I wear it. I would absolutely own this dress in a different color as well!!

The suede fabric feels so premium and high quality, and I absolutely love the rich color for fall. It has a nice weight to it without feeling overly heavy, which makes it perfect for those cooler transitional days. The dress also feels very well-made and durable. The fabric has held its shape nicely and doesn’t feel like something that will easily wear down after a few wears. Because of the suede material, I would definitely be a little more intentional with care and follow the care instructions to keep it looking its best. Overall, the quality really matches what I would expect from Halston. Between the fabric, construction, durability, and overall look, it feels like a piece that will last for multiple seasons, which makes the value worth it. Such a beautiful dress for transitioning into fall!

It fits true to size and the belt in the middle helps make it look more flattering. It’s super soft and cozy. The fabric does make it super warm though which I learned after a few hours. All the small buttons are cute but a little hard to button but could be as it’s newer. The fact it has pockets is a huge plus.

It is absolutely beautiful and made well. It is very soft but requires hand washing which does not fit my lifestyle. I imagine this dress with a nice pair of brown high boots

The suede is butter like soft, rich in appearance and elegance and feels smooth on my skin. It’s very well sewn, and drapes amazingly on you leaving you confident. I wear this frequently to parties, date nights and on conferences and always get plenty of compliments. The stitching is so well done and the material is so smooth, Halston’s dresses are surely one of a kind. I prefer more modest dresses and at 5 ft 2 and 120 lbs, it comes to a little above my ankles giving me the coverage I need without compromising on style. It came well packaged as well. Halston out-did themselves with this dress. Loveee it!

I specifically love that you can adjust the waist, which makes the fit even better. It’s such a timeless piece and definitely a must have for any wardrobe.
