Same problem as noted May 10. I cannot assemble without assistance from another person. Very frustrating. Wooden base won't stay attached to base. Arm too long a d heavy to easily attach to pole.
Does't stand/hang straight
Just received the lamp and had a very difficult time trying to assemble. The screw for the base is too short and the bolt under the base seems to be too skinny to hold the weight of the lamp. Couldn't get it to tighten properly. Very frustrating and disappointing to have this arrive with defective hardware given how expensive the lamp is.
It is a beautiful lamp. Fairly simple in design, but we liked how it matched our wooden furniture. The height is great for over the couch as it is tall enough to not hit. The base is pretty heavy so I do not have any concerns about it tipping over. The floor switch a type of dimmer that allows you to set it to the exact mood you want, but if you have LED bulbs, make sure they are dimmable. We put the lamp on a timer switch so that it'll just turn on and off regularly. It really adds to the warmth of a home. The unboxing was fine, but it felt like a tangled mess because the wire is already fed through the poles. It was kinda like assembling tent poles. That being said, it was no big deal and has no bearing on the quality of the product. Just have to be careful when unboxing it.
I love this lamp but not the foot dimmer switch. It's large and hard to hide.
