Oneida Michelangelo 45 Piece Flatware Set, Service for 8

They are simply the most beautiful set of silverware I have ever seen

I was full of anticipation about ordering this famous pattern until I received it. I have many sets of Oneida flatware purchased over many years of collecting and I was shocked at the overall quality and weight of this flatware. The set is not full length, especially the dinner forks which probably has not changed over the years. It is not heavy weight as descriptions always indicate. It does not match the vintage pattern and does not impress when compared with Kelly Gold and other vintage patterns. I am not using this for special occasions but will be using it for every day.

This doesn't disappoint. Shipped in a timely manner. The set washes well in the dishwasher and it's nice and heavy. Love the salad fork pattern (which is why I chose the Michelangelo to begin with). The service set that came with it is very nice. My sister loved this set so much, she also purchased it.

Very disappointing that Oneida has changed this pattern over the years. I bought this set to add to my original. The forks are different. The design is cut deeper. I’ll keep them but definitely not what was expected. Especially from Oneida.

We bought this a few months ago as a wedding gift for our niece and her fiance'. We gave it to them a month ago and they loved it! They also really loved that they received the serving pieces that came with the larger set that we ordered. In addition, we gave them the cake knife and server for use on their wedding day. So they have the entire set except for the ice tea spoons. (Not everyone wants these so I told the kids about them to let them decide if they'd have any use for them.) Having seen and held the individual pieces, it's not only beautiful, it is heavyweight. It feels like quality. It is ornate, but you can eat Beef Wellington or chili using this without worrying about the flatware police arriving on your doorstep. If you want to treat yourself to something pretty, this is pretty. I'd recommend this flatware to anyone getting married, having an anniversary or who has the "I'm sick of my old silverware" blues.

I am very pleased with my purchase of Oneida Michelangelo 45 piece set. It looks exquisite . I was looking forward for the set to be displayed in a drawer setting container, not in a cheap looking box.

This set is gorgeous and I'm convinced it's the same one my grandmother had when I was growing up. I remember them having little cut-outs just like these. They have great weight and are high quality. I haven't actually started using them. I'm waiting for my son to go back to his University after his winter break is over. My spoons and forks disappear whenever he is around, so I might put these up every time he comes home.

I haven't used them but they have a good weight and look pretty
