Hot Wheels 1:15 Scale Monster Trucks Great Bite All-Terrain Amphibious Remote Control Car

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We picked this up for my son and it has quickly become one of his favorite toys. The 1:15 scale truck is bigger and heftier than most remote control toys in this price range, and the mutant grip tires genuinely do what they promise on grass and gravel. It also advertises stunt features, including a remote button that pops it into a wheelie and a hold function that sends it into a full spin, which sounds like a fun feature to try out with the kids in the yard. One detail I appreciated is the charging setup. The wire is built right into a sealed compartment underneath the truck, so there is nothing loose to lose track of between play sessions. It charges over a traditional USB A plug rather than USB C, which is a small letdown since just about everything else in our house has moved to USB C at this point. That said, I will take USB A any day over dealing with a USB micro connector again. We have not had the chance to try it out in snow or water yet, but looking closely at the wheels, they have small fins molded into the rims that should help with traction in snow and water, on top of the grip the mutant tires already provide on drier terrain. It seems like a thoughtful design choice even if we cannot vouch for it firsthand yet. The green slime detailing and monster truck styling are a hit with anyone who is into the Hot Wheels Monster Trucks universe, and the controller is simple enough that even younger kids pick it up fast. My only real complaint is that the run time between charges is shorter than I would like, so if your child plans on marathon backyard sessions you may want to manage expectations there. Durability so far has been solid despite plenty of crashes and a few tumbles down our sloped yard. Overall this is a fun, well built RC truck with some nice thoughtful touches, and it is worth the price for the play value it brings so far, especially for kids who like getting a little active with their toys.

They opened it and immediately started racing it around the house and making their own little obstacle courses. They especially loved the bright green design, the oversized wheels, and how easily it rolls over different surfaces. The remote control was probably their favorite part because they could actually control the truck instead of just pushing it around. It has already gotten a lot of play in our house, and I love seeing them take turns with it and come up with different ways to play. Definitely a fun toy that kept their attention!

We haven't tried it on water so we don't know how that feature works. I personally loved that the charging cord was attached to the base so that it couldn't get lost.

We didn’t try it in water yet but my son can’t wait to test that feature. I like that the usb charger is directly connected and stored under the car so you do not need to search around for the correct cord.

You can play indoors or outdoors with this rc truck. But I have noticed the battery lasts longer used in doors. I would definitely recommend this product to any monster truck lover.
