Works very well. Does not lay down as thick as I would like but if you broke up all the clods first, may be thicker. Only negative is that it has to be reloaded quite often which gets to my back but that's really an age issue. Locks are really nice and spring loaded. Much easier than spreading by hand. A great purchase.
