Mephisto Trevis Full-Grain Leather Round-Toe Boat Shoes

Years ago I bought a pair of Mephisto boating shoes and they were the best of any brand I have ever owned. But for some time I have been buying Sperry Gold Cup shoes. Yesterday I saw and bought the Mephisto Trevis boating or deck shoe and could not believe how much more comfortable they were than the Sperry shoes I had on when I came in the store. And the look is the same classic one I remembered, with beautiful quality of construction.

Twenty years of buying these wonderful shoes, this is the only pair that wasn’t great: this one immediately produced a blister under my right heel on the outside. I can only guess that it is cut a tad too high. I have an old pair of this same shoe that caused no trouble.
