Good size for general storage of parts and materials in a home workshop, like they were designed specifically to work with warehouse rivet rack shelving units. The handles are nice, and top closes securely. The old tops were better though, because they were sturdier and raised in the center to allow for more storage. The difference is noticeable and definitely a downgrade.

I love this one because the sides are transparent and the latch for the lid is extremely secure! I don’t make a point of dropping storage boxes but if I happen to drop this one, I’m confident the contents will stay secure! It’s well constructed and the latch is easy to open and close. My basement was an explosion of Lego bricks. I found these 18 quart latch totes to be a lifesaver. Too big and I can’t lift them; too small and they don’t hold enough. These 18 quart bins hit the sweet spot. I can stack them and still see that is inside since the bin itself is clear. The 18 quart ultra latch box is perfect for storing many small items. I used this box to store my child's kitchen tools and it easily held all of her things. Good size for use in bedrooms, pantry, or closets. Not ideal for outdoor use as the lid does not have an airtight seal.
