Essie Gel Couture Top Coat

Checked reviews here as I was gifted Essie 1 and 2. Nail polish lifted in one day. Thought I had to use a lamp to seal. Waste of money.

I've bought 2 bottles of this color over the past couple years, and let me tell you, it's my favorite color! Not only does it have long lasting stay and longevity, but I get more compliments on this color than anything I've ever worn. The color is gorgeous, and edgy without it being black. I love it, but only wish I could find it easier in stores lately.

I have used so many Essie gel colors, but this one is awful. The formula is horrid. What happened??? I’ve never done such a bad manicure! I do my nails religiously and I’ve never had such blotchy, bubbly nails. I need to take it off immediately and throw this in the trash.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The gel by Essie liquid diamond nail polish is beautiful, giving a lovely gloss and shimmer that catches the light perfectly. I love the sleek bottle shape, and the formula dries down nicely. While one coat is a bit sheer, two coats provides the perfect coverage. It lasted almost a full week for me, with minor chipping only starting around day six.

This topcoat goes on so smoothly and dries very quickly. It looks better as it sets and feels hard and durable I can’t wait to see how long it lasts!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love putting top coat on nails, and a gel one is a good option to make your nails last longer. The Essie gel one is a great option for its price and quality.

I want to love this. Dries quickly and with great shine but the shrinkage is terrible! I’ve tried different application methods such as applying while color coats are still wet, letting them dry before applying the top coat, etc. regardless, I always cap the nail. It shrinks so badly by the cuticle. I love wearing dark colors and the shrinkage pulls most of the color leaving a pale ring by my cuticle. Have to go back to the Gel Setter.
