Simplehuman 46 Liter Classic Recycling Kitchen Trash Can

This is the second Simplehuman bin I've bought. The first lasted over a decade. Trying to find a slim enough and short enough bin to fit into a specific place in my kitchen was the most difficult part and this bin really looks like it belongs there. I use one part for general waste and the other for food waste and in my household the bags only need to be changed once a week. A nice bonus is that it's easy to wipe clean. Perhaps I'm getting old but I can't stop telling my friends about my new bin.

Meets all expectations, feels sturdy and bins slide in smoothly. Only niggle is the locking mechanism to hold the lid up feels a bit fragile, against the lid, incase the lid bends? but that could just be me. Would have been even better if it was sensor like other models, but in this design.

Looks good and performs well. Brilliantly designed. I am very happy.

Small apartment life begs for a dual compartment can. I’ve never been disappointed with a simplehuman product - the name says it all.

Nice trash can with a soft close, so it's not noisy. I like that there's room for both trash and recycling in separate compartments but it looks like one fairly sleek, unified trash can when it's closed. Very nice design. I normally wouldn't have paid this much for a trash can, let alone one that still has a step pedal but it is a nice piece and seems like it may last at least a year or two.

I just moved from a large house to an apartment. I wanted a sleek dual trash can…and one that I could slide around my kitchen if need be. Remember, it’s an apartment. Sick of foot pedals on trashcans (my house can was the very large simplehuman dual with foot pedal) and wary of touchless (what if the system fails) I wen with this small touch-bar and I love it! The compartments are perfect for 1 or 2 people. The liners fit perfectly! Don’t fret over the price of liners: they are really thick, fit perfectly and because the trash can keeps odors in perfectly, you can truly fill the can up using fewer liners. One more thing I love about this touch-bar: it stays open on its own. That’s the big difference from a foot pedal. I love it! Yes…I love a trashcan!
