Villeroy & Boch New Cottage Dinner Plate

We absolutely LOVE this dinnerware!! The plates and salad plates are the perfect size. They look beautiful and we couldn’t be more pleased.

Great looking dinner plate.

These porcelain dishes are absolutely gorgeous! There is a simple elegance about them that makes everyday meals feel special, yet they set a beautiful table for a more elaborate dinner. With the creamy color, they go well with any accessories: patterned red pieces for Christmas, crytal for an elegant affair, etc. I love dishes and have a number of sets; now that I bought these I am getting rid of the others and enjoying a beautiful but more simple life.

I have been waiting for these to go on sale. I wanted porcelain dishes in white to replace a white set of dishes. I can't believe no one has mentioned that these are not white. They are not ivory, but have a tinge of brown. which makes them very off-white. I took them out of the box and knew immediately without comparing to my white dishes that they were not white, but then thought, maybe it's just dark. But no they are not white and sadly they have to go back. White is white and you should not state that these are white. I have different white dishes from different companies and they are all the same color. So disappointed. It's too bad too because they were exactly what I was looking for.

The collection is classic and has a beautiful shine to it. Of course the quality is excellent because it’s V&B. The setting looks so pretty on my table. Highly recommend.

I like that the design is simple, but not boring. It goes well with everything.

I have had the Switch series of plates for more than 15 years and they still look new. The Switch plates are in my Washington home and I wanted a more Classic/Elegant look for entertaining in my California home, so I purchased the New Cottage set. These plates were also intended to be used with my Samarkand dishes and espresso cups. Unfortunately, the New Cottage Basic series has scratches and I have only used these for three years.
