Why did I wait so long to buy this Cheese Grater? Life made easier.

I absolutely love my attachments that I can get for my KitchenAid. This one is a love-hate relationship. I would give it four stars or more if it hadn't just broke. The clear plastic feed shoot and the clear plastic plungers are flimsy. It literally just snapped off while I was grading potatoes. The plunger cracked while I was feeding the potatoes through the shoot. I will find a way to try to fix this but but I am just a little bit disappointed with KitchenAid. This piece could have been built a lot sturdier to last a lot longer than three uses. Hence, the three stars.

These attachments are a must have if you grate, shred or slice anything! You won't be disappointed!

I originally tried a separate appliance but it was overly complicated. The Kitchen Aid attachment is easy, efficient and works perfectly (and doesn’t take any countertop space). And you have to love that a brand new attachment fits my 32-year-old Kitchen Aid mixer! Absolutely love the quality of the tool!

Nice set up but it doesn't work as well as I thought it would. It drags & I have to push down extremely hard on the food to get it to do what it is supposed to do & it still doesn't work well. I had bought an off brand beforehand that I really liked but it had no way to get the blades out besides sticking you hand in the blade to get it out which is dangerous. I then decided to just get the Kitchen Aid thinking it had to be just as good or better plus it has a blade release lever. What a disappointment. Sad to say, I'll be returning mine

Fits perfectly on my older machine,and easy to attach

A must have for your kitchen. I use this weekly shred cheese to prep for meals. I buy a variety of different cheese blocks then prep them with this for various meals for the week. Very easy to work and clean. My kids enjoying helping with meal prep now.

I appreciate the things I am able to accomplish with my slicer /shredder. Unfortunately, my number one use is shredding all different kinds of cheeses, often up to two pounds at a time. When grating cheeses the grater does a great job but they do not fall out of the front, instead the clog up the turning blade. This could easily be remedied if there were a cone with fins that pushed the grated cheese out of the turning blade. It should not be a technical challenge to add this feature. I would gladly purchase another set of blades with this feature.
