HENCKELS International "Classic" Slicing Knife, 8"

Love the Classic line. It is sharp right out of the box and retains it edge unlike others. It has a great feel with the balance and weight of the forged blade.

I have had this knife for many years and it's been great. The handle is cracked and I cannot find anyway to replace it. I believe its plastic or something similar. Any suggestions would be great.

Well not the same knife as the one I had recently for years! Didn’t realize there not made in Germany any longer!! That sucks and you can tell from the blade, lil to light and thin for my liking.. I’ll keep it and use it but not the same as before unfortunately!!

I did not have this size knife in my knife inventory prior to purchasing this knife. I have found the knife to be a great size for many uses and the quality and sharpness of this knife is excellent.

My mother and I both cook a lot. We have never been to crazy about our cutlery until I purchased this knife as a Christmas gift. We are both beginners when it comes to knife skills and this knife is always sharp and easy to use. Highly recommend for anyone beginning to cook.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We inherited this exact knife over 10 years ago. It was our go to knife for everything from cutting potatoes to trimming brisket. Unfortunately the handle separated and one half fell off. We still used it duct taped but recently found an identical one which we purchased.
