It’s a pretty open weave, so while it definitely adds some warmth through adding an extra layer to your bedding, you won’t overheat either. It’s airy yet substantial. It’s also attractive and neutral, perfectly complementing nearly any bedding or interior decoration style. My only complaint is it’s definitely not the softest blanket. It’s unfortunately a bit scratchy. I think it’s much better as a layer between your sheets and quilt/duvet, rather than directly touching your skin. It adds a beautiful, styled texture to the room and feels incredibly soft right out of the packaging. Weight-wise, it’s the perfect all-season layering piece—it has a nice heft to it but stays breathable because of the open-knit design, so you don't overheat. There are just two things to keep in mind if you're considering it. First, because it’s a loose knit, it does stretch and pull easily when you're moving it around a large King bed. Second, it's a bit of a snag hazard; if you have pets with claws or wear jewelry, it’s easy to catch the loops. Overall, if you want an elevated, cozy top layer to make your bed look great, it's a beautiful choice. Just be a little gentle with it to keep the knit looking nice!

This blanket is soft, stretchy in a good way (fits like you want it to but will fall nicely into a smaller shape too), cleans super nicely in the washing machine and comes out looking great, wears well, and it's a great layer or stand-alone blanket with sheets. Bought ivory and came back for another a year later when the puppy put a hole in it. Bought in gray too.

There is a lot of stretch to this blanket. If you have animals I would suggest putting under another blanket because it would not take much for a nail/claw to ruin it.
