I use these placemats in place of a charger plate. They are durable and lovely. They do not protect tablecloth but enhance the look of a set table.

Perfect! They are a vinyl with a metallic finish (I got the brass/gold ones) and can be used for everyday or for special occasions. I'll be using them for the upcoming Thanksgiving & Christmas holiday place settings.

I ordered two of these items online for store pickup. When I picked them up, I realized Macy’s had given me the WRONG color. I called customer service, and they told me to wait 48 hours to pick up the correct color. When I returned to the store, the staff informed me that online customer service had never processed my exchange, and my only option was to get a refund. I received my refund, and a store associate kindly helped me reorder the correct color for pickup the next day. However, when I came back to pick up my order, I was shocked to find that the package contained completely different items. Frustrated, I tried to explain the situation to the staff. The first associate I spoke with recognized me but was extremely rude. Even though Macy’s had made the mistake twice and caused me multiple trips to the store, she kept saying, "It’s not my fault." On top of that, she processed my refund incorrectly and instead tried to offer me a "coupon" for my next purchase. When I insisted on speaking with someone else, a manager came and quickly discovered that the associate had indeed made an error, which was why she was unable to process my refund properly. The manager then completed the refund correctly, and I finally got my money back. This experience was beyond frustrating, and I will never purchase anything online from Macy’s again.

Our #1 favorite of all Chilewich placemats! We have a set in gunmetal. This design is beautiful, unique & elegant on our black granite table & our dark walnut dining table.
