Cheap and flimsy. Looks like it has glass in the base (enclosing the bulbs) but it does not, its open and you can see the bent over tabs that hold the side glass in.
I purchased this light as an indoor kitchen light. I needed something with clean lines and a low profile that could provide ample light for a small kitchen. This light is perfect. Lovely and provides excellent lighting.

Love the Nyack overhead light for our front porch. The only thing I would change are the visible tabs to hold the glass in but otherwise looks great!
