The lamp itself is quite nice, but why a black cord on a chrome lamp with a white glass globe? The contrast is quite jarring. Surely, the more usual clear cord or even a gray or white covering would work better.
Looks elegant. Sleek and sophisticated. And it gives great lighting.
It gives of good light, fits in behind the couch and I really like the added detail of the design as well as the two stage light.
I wanted a lamp that could use LED bulbs. The lamp I received is for CFL bulbs not LED. The light flickers noticeably on the lower setting when used with LED bulbs. Both the label on the package and the assembly instructions clearly state it is for CFL not LED bulbs (see photos). If that doesn't matter to you, it's a solid, attractive lamp. However, I am returning it because it is not as advertised and doesn't work with LED bulbs.... that's why 3 stars.
This is a good product and good value for the price.
The turn/on switch is defective. It practically is not working.
This lamp works well to illuminate our glass shelving - the reflective light from the lamp produces soft shadows behind our collection. This was the most acceptable lighting we could find.
I am enjoying the bright light of the above floor lamp. I would have preferred having the On/Off switch located lower on the lamp pole. It is a good-looking floor lamp.
While I love the simplicity and design of this product, I bought two of them. While one was easy to assemble, the other lamp was a colossal disaster. The lamps are relatively easy to assemble yet one had a fault and I could not assemble the top of the lamp. I am now weary to purchase items such as these where the product ships from the manufacturer because it was also a hassle to return.
I purchased this lamp for my grandson's room and was pleasantly surprised with the appearance and quality. It is exactly what I was looking for. It arrived quite promptly; however, it was missing the hardware necessary to attach the shade to the he base.I addressed that with Macy's.com and received the parts within a couple of days...I am very happy with my purchase.
