OXO Stainless Steel Food Mill

I use a food mill to make tomato sauce from fresh tomatoes. I've used a few different mills and this is my favorite right now. I've had a number of mills that just push the tomatoes around (even cooked ones), but this mill does a pretty good job of grabbing and mashing. I like that it's stainless. I also use a tinned commercial mill and in just a year of use, I have removed all the tin from the bottom plate. My only complaint is the size of the mill. I would love the OXO mill in a larger size to fit over larger pots and to hold more food at a time. Otherwise, very happy.

Blended potatoes and apples together and it came out perfect. I have lots of great grandchildren so I think I’ll try making baby food. Works good, cleans up easily, highly recommended.

Love the mill. Made relatively quick work of the tens of pounds of tomatoes coming out of my garden. It effectively removed all the seeds and skins and produced a beautiful passata. I can’t wait to try it out on mashed potatoes.

We use this mill all the time, especially to make smooth tomato sauces for marinaras and bolognese sauces. Out biggest gripe is that the little fit aren’t wide enough to fit on any of the bowls or bits we have in our house. It needs its own extra-deep bowl with a rubber rim.

This machine is really nice, it’s very basic to put together and it’s very effective. It turns your food into whatever texture you want. Lastly, it’s a little expensive but it works very well.

I have hesitated to buy one of these because I remember using my mom's food mill. It was very difficult to use and clean. This one is great! With the legs it will fit on any bowl. It has different graters so you can choose how fine you want yhe food and it is very easy to take apart and clean!
