MAC 224S Tapered Blending Brush

I had one of these brushes last year and it was brilliant, the quality was great, nice and firm and easy to blend eyeshadow. But when I used my new one yesterday the bristles were separated and it was scratching my eyes. I could barely blend the product I was using and it didn't even stick to the brush properly. My eyes were hurting for ages afterwards as well. I will never be purchasing this brush again and I am massively disappointed.

Perfect for blending in eyeshadows

After buying for a friends bday, I decided to try Mac! I'd highly recommend Mac for brushes!! I bought 5 brushes and am happy with All of them!! Usually w/other brands, the bristles fall out during applications. The handles are perfect for me! I have carpo tunnel and arthritis so applying is difficult. And I don't either have a great grip or am too rough in applications. They're slim n sleek but Solid!! The bristles feel soft against my skin and I'm able to apply cosmetics Evenly with them. I go into the store and my consultant recommended trying Mac brushes. Thanks Christina!! She knows exactly what I need and which products, In Stock, would work best for Me, my skin. I'm going thru medical issues, and my consultant helps me keep up appearances and feel good about myself!! Mac blending /shading brushes are worth the investment!! I've only bought Mac as gifts in the past, never for self. (I was being a penny pincher for self) Now I see buying 1 Mac brush is less expensive than buying 4 cheaper brushes. And they work better!!! And Mac isn't expensive to begin with lol. IMHO, buy the Mac brushes!

Really good at blending out eyeshadows

I swear by this brush! I’ve ordered many (mainly cause I lose them!) It’s great for applying my MAC eyeshadow!

Good replacement from the old one that was discontinued. At first, I was very annoyed to find out that the brush (white in color) was discontinued. I asked for an alternative on the Mac chat room and the expert representative told me about this new brush. I am happy to have replaced the natural hair brush with this man-made brush because it’s not animal hair and it works a lot better.

Am new to the MAC party but wow, this brush is a must have. only need a small amount on the brush to make the crease blend look wow. Its light, soft and well worth investing in.

Know the 224s will be useless if you want to deposit eyeshadow, but it's great if you want to better diffuse the eyeshadow already placed or blend out pencil liner. In terms of comfort when using, I did not find it was scratchy! It feels so soft for a synthetic brush, and does blend power products well.
