[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The lid does not lock when churning ice cream, so we have to hold it down for the whole churn cycle. We even bought a new lid but same result. Not what we had thought making ice cream would be about. Not very happy with that process. . . .
This ice cream maker is amazing for what it’s meant to do. I think this is super easy to use and it makes ice cream well, but it seems like one of the appliances is misshapen. I first thought it was user error, but I've made ice cream about five times and everytime I have to hold the top down until it really gets going. When I got tired of holding down the lid for the 25 minutes, I’ve now resorted to putting some dumbbells on top of the lid to keep it down. Something is wrong within the top, paddle, somewhere. If I don't hold the top down, then the ice cream does not form properly. It's a bit of a pain and isn’t normal. We were gifted this earlier this year, but haven’t used it much since this problem has started occurring.

Simple to make and delicious. I love it. I make fresh ice cream all the time. It’s like soft serve when you make it, but freezes up nicely.
The ICE-70 did a great job of making Ice Cream on the 4th of July for me and family.
Interesting process that the ice cream maker uses. Instead of the paddles moving within the frozen bowl. The actual bowl turns instead. Very novel approach and it works very well. Even when you want to do a mix in, they make it quite easy to add ingredients in the last five minutes. For us, we have blueberry bushes and we mascerate them, remove very the seeds and then put in the nearly complete churning process.
It has performed wonderfully and we love our homemade ice cream.
