Adesso Duet Floor Lamp

Love the style and function of this lamp in my transitional-to-warm-modern-decor. The shade is a generous oval that looks great and spreads light around nicely especially because this is a little taller than other floor lamps. The two bulbs switch on/off independently, giving a welcome choice of brightness. I like it so much I'm ordering another one for the other end of the couch. I know what one reviewer meant about the misalignment of the holes in the base, but you can slide the two pieces of the base (the heavy part and and decorative cover) around until the holes in each piece align and then the pole goes through easily. By the way, the assembly instructions are a joke (no really, I mean they're funny.) Be sure to start assembling the poles from the top (so putting them through the base is the last thing you do.) And pull the cord through toward the bottom as you go. Very happy with this purchase

I had no problems with it standing up. It looks great in my mid-century modern living room. The glow is a soft yellow.

The lamp itself is pretty but the holes that the poles go into are misaligned. We have to return it as there is no way to assemble it. Disappointed.
