Villeroy & Boch Manoir Dinner Plate

I have a set of Manoir china that was all new when I married in 1988. We broke one of the plates a couple of weeks ago, and I was relieved to see that Manoir is currently available. I ordered a replacement plate, and it is still the same beautiful quality as my original plates - same size, same design, same shade of off white. That's how well my set has held up to daily use, and how consistent the quality of Villeroy and Boch china is.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The creamy white color allows these dishes to be used as everyday or dressy dinnerware. As everyday, they create a soft background so the food really stands out. For dressier meals, these dishes can be grouped with a colorful placemat and/or colorful glassware and silverware.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great plate and set from Villeroy and Boch. I appreciate that I can buy an individual when one breaks and they are the same as my original set from approx. 5 years ago. Classic and classy design.

I bought several different size Manoir plates and bowls to supplement a set of the old Cottage that, unfortunately, is no longer available. The style, design and off-white color are close enough that I can place them right next to the Cottage dishes. I've started using just the Manoir dishes for small get-togethers and like them a lot, in that I can use any color napkins with them. Plus, the food is well presented against the plain background.

Pretty plates that feel nice in hand. They are a cream, warm color, not stark white if you are trying to compliment other things you have.

I love Macy´s but whoever packaged the two plates sent to me should be FIRED. No tissue paper nor any foam was placed inside the packaging box. Just two completely shattered plates arrived. This is disgusting. I hope Macy´s will sharpen up its packaging department. I had to obviously request a replacement.

Great quality !

I bought a single plate to replace one that was broken recently, so now I have 12 again. As with other V&B dishes I have, they are VERY durable -- but my poor plate took quite a hit when a huge stoneware bowl slipped out of my hubby's helpful hands. Manoir are my everyday plates.
