Could use it right away
I used it instantly after opening the package. no need to sharpen it. it works great! wish I bought it sooner. but I'd only buy at the discounted price.

Perfect small knife

Classic style and great quality
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently replaced my old knife set and the new one didn't have a Santoku, which is one of my most used knives. This one is great and looks nice. It even fits in the knife block when I substituted for one I don't use as often.

Excellent knife at this price point
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is such an all around quality knife that I returned to the store and purchased 4 more. Just in case I wear it out. In all seriousness this is an excellent "go to" knife for most of the kitchen work.
