Grey knives finish flecks/falls off - do not recommend if looks matter to you

We have never dishwashed, only hand washed and after nine months the handles look like they were used in the trenches during WWI. We have treated these with great care due to the price, they're not cheap. My wife warned me to trust the other reviews on handle durability, but I saw 20 pieces and the good reviews so went with it. That said I think I would've spent more to get handles that have a longer shelf life than warm milk.

Excellent Knife Set

Too of knife block came right off

As the headline states, upon opening the box and taking the knife block out, I sat it on the counter and realized the top of the block was so loose . It came right off and was so disappointing because I was excited to get these knives. Now that I’m seeing someone else had the same thing happen, I don’t think this is a one time thing I was going to reorder but now I don’t think I am.

Lovely gift for parents or the cooking inclined

The whole set allows you to work with most foods. ( no cleaver for hacking bones** ) You will find the self sharpening base a very cool idea to keep your knifes ready at all times. ** You dont need a cleaver when your dealing with normal meat.
