My husband uses one of these a lot when he cooks with meat! We have tried to separate fat without this tool and this O XO fat separator is so helpful and so handy! I highly recommend getting one, especially if you ever see one on sale!

Not sure exactly how this was supposed to work. I followed the instructions but I still had oil in my gravy. I tried a second time and ended up putting it into a bowl, refrigerated overnight and then removed the fat. I may have to try another method. I think I spent more than necessary for this item.

It only works if the liquid you have is a lot and have a lot of fat, the idea is great but the spout at the jar is quite big so you have to stop pouring before reaching the fat. I would like it more if it was made out of glass

This is a must have for any gravy, stew, braise, or stock. I deglazed the turkey roasting pan, poured all the juice in here, and less than 2 minutes later all the fat had separated to the top. I used the fat on top to make a roux and had thanksgiving gravy ready in about 5 min.

I love using this during holiday meals. It makes it so easy to use the broth from the turkey to make a gravy. It takes any pieces out of the broth as you pour it in. Then after a few minutes you can easily put the good broth into your pan and leave the fat out. Love this tool.
