Still the best low profile NB, IMHO
I bought these to replace my previous 996s that I purchased 5 years ago. It was comfortable until the day I traded them in for these. I wore them everywhere - multiple Disney trips, overseas, and everywhere that required a TON of walking. I like the narrower footbed on the 996s and the lower profile. It took me forever to find a replacement and I am so glad I came across this site. I will forever be a fan of New Balance, and the OG 990s and these 996s.
