I wanted to keep these, but there's absolutely no arch contour, shape or support. The Wide width was great, so is the style. The cushion type has changed so it's really too mushy and doesn't keep your feet from moving all over. No lateral support! Mizuno is always a half size small, so my usual 7.5 was too short & tight. The size 8 was perfect in length, felt like a 7.5.
I was between sizes in the Wave Rider 28. I ordered the smaller size of this shoe and these fit my foot perfectly. I loved how light they were, but it felt like one of my feet rolled outwards when walking. I never experienced that with any other Mizunos. I may order another pair in case they were defective.
Short and narrow and ugly color. I returned them. I wear a 10.5 wide. I tried an 11 wide. I tried a men's 9.5. All were Too short and too narrow. And I do not understand why Mizuno is now only making wide widths in boring ugly colors. I previously wore mizuno wave riders for the past 10 years. The new versions do not fit my feet.
I’ve worn Wave Riders for years. I like the 29s very much. There is added cushion in the sole and it feels great.

These provide exceptional support in a light weight shoe.
I've worn Mizuno shoes for over 25 years. The WaveRider 29 is too squishy for my liking. It makes your stride different and unnatural. I think they were trying to cushion more, but the effect is that your foot can't come off the ground normally due to the squish factor. I can't exercise in these, but I will wear them to run errands.
I'm an 8.5/9 in most shoes but get 9.5 in these and most athletic shoes. I've been wearing the Wave Rider since the model was in the single digits, so about 20 years, and they never disappoint. Didn't love my color option this time, but it's fine.
The fit was fine, but the soles are too squishy compared to my old Wave Inspire 18's! I makes my ankles and shins ache.
Paid $150 for a Mizuno Wave Rider but feel like I received a Hoka. These are too wide and roomy overall, pillowy on the bottom, but not as supportive as any recent previous Wave Rider. They feel unstructured compared to expectations; been wearing the Wave Rider for several years. Disappointed because I have always appreciated their fit for a narrow foot, as long as I lace them close together.
