A lightweight and energetic foam technology called FF BLAST™ PLUS cushioning is strategically positioned in the midsole. This helps create a soft feel with advanced impact absorption underfoot. Meanwhile, a rock protection plate helps shield your feet from impact against rocks and debris on the trails.

These shoes are just what I was looking for. I wanted something versatile and cushioned. I use these for trail running and hiking, especially in wet conditions. These are also great for walking through wet grass. I have run in and repeatedly purchased the Asics Gel Nimbus for the past 15 years, but I needed something to keep my feet dry. I purchased my normal size, however, they do feel 1/2 size bigger than my Nimbus shoes. When these wear out, I will size down 1/2 size and purchase again.

My socks remained dry despite my 7 mile walk in some very wet grass and some small puddles. I would definitely recommend. Comfort and arch support is great too.

Back of shoe rubbed too much on the back of my ankle, so I will have to return. I love my ASICS tennis shoes, but the ankle angle on this is not comfortable for me at all. Also I found the footbed very wide and firm. Will need to look elsewhere for waterproof hiking shoes.

I am addictive to Asics shoes They are light and comfortable despite the fact initially they were very tight. Since these shoes are waterproof your feet get soak of sweat. Once I tried with 100% wool soaks, the problem has been resolved; and I decided to keep them. Indeed they became my favorite shoes and therapeutic for my knee and feet problems. Thanks Asics!
