Been wearing a size 9.5 with the 1080 for almost 10 years. This versions size 9.5 was huge. My feet were swimming in them. Not sure if I got a defective pair or not but very disappointed after running in the 1080s for so long.
Just got them today, but so far, so good. It's been many years since I've had New Balance shoes, so here's hoping!
Men's 8D, age 75, 155Lb. Initially, when standing still, a very spongy (wobbly) underfoot feeling, almost an unstable feeling both side to side and sinking when leaning back on the heel having to take a step backward to keep from falling. However, a phenomenal forward walking shoe or running shoe, with terrific cushioning on my joints along with great stability while in motion (heel strike-roll over midsole-to toe push-off). Definitely will keep for workouts but jury still out if will use as a casual shoe as standing still wobble may take some getting use to.
Shoes are very narrow in the front cramping my toes
They Squeak: Fit was great, but the overplush extra cushioned style makes the back squeak. I also noticed after about 30 minutes on the treadmill that my feet were hurting in places that I was not used to.
Solid daily shoe: Great for flat/wide footed runners. Foam feels great
Can't find a better shoe: Super good for daily runs but they will get cooked buy 2 pairs
Cool and Comfortable: This shoe is very comfortable and seems to be cooler than most other shoes I wear, even the three NB 880's that I have, I bought this shoe because the 880 didn't come in a white color that I liked. I like the stability, but was surprised by the lighter cushioning which hasn't been a problem so far, but I'm not a runner.
