Bought the Hoka Gaviota 6 to help with plantar fasciitis due to overpronation. I generally wear a 4E width; the toe box on these shoes are extra wide so I purchased the 2E. The 2E seems to fit. Comfortable, but haven't noticed any appreciable difference in the foot issues since I started wearing these. Difficult to find a wider width in a brick and mortar store, so paying the price online is something of a risk (if you have foot issues and think that the Hoka's are going to make a difference).

Used this shoe with substantial orthotic. First Hoka I ever wore. Fantastic! It has enough stability and after walking for an hour on both pavement and uneven garden surfaces I do not have sore feet! Does not aggravate any of my multiple foot/ankle issues. I do want one shoe that feels slightly more grounded if that is to be had (no luck so far) but am adapting to the cushioning and feel more and more secure as I wear it.

I had been buying the Arahi shoes but switched to the Graviota model, which is extremely comfortable both walking and standing. I don't run so I cannot comment on that.

I’ve been trying to find walking shoes that are Extra Wide for some time. Up until now I’ve had purchase a size bigger in wide to get a width to fit. This led to catching my toe while walking. Most of the time I’ve been to catch myself but I have fallen. Now wearing the correct length shoe, the catching a toe is a thing of the past!! I’ve also dealt with Plantar Fasciitis. These shoes have the support I need while looking very stylish! It took a few days to break them in and now they fit perfectly and are very comfortable to wear. I’m delighted I found them!
