Fits fine and is comfy as all Blundstones are, but the brown rubbed off - it's not dyed in the leather. Just shows a weird tan color underneath.

Size was a little wide but with thick socks they might be OK. I'm debating as to whether to keep them. The Claret is more black than claret, unless they put a black pair in a Claret box and tried to pass it off as Claret. Claret usually has a reddish tint. Also, I specifically ordered the Classic 550 and received a 2540 boot??? What is going on Zappos???

I bought these Blundstone boots in a size 9. Normally I wear a size 8.5 but with these boots and with medium weight socks, they felt too snug for my liking. I went a half size up to a size 9 and they are perfect. I wouldn't say they run small but take into consideration the thickness of the socks you will be wearing. These are super cute and super comfortable. The quality is excellent. I purchased them in the brown color and they are very dark, almost black, but I am still going to purchase the Zinc which is a dark, dark grey/black color. I highly recommend these boots. It's a great investment and will probably last many, many years.

The fit was way too large, it was "baggy" around my ankles. Because I am a size 12/12.5 women's I had to buy unisex boots. They are really made for men, so too big in places other than the length. I have been living with this hardship for over 50 years, and still shoe manufacturers refuse to make women's shoes in sizes larger than an 11 in most cases.

So far, so good. The width is slightly tight, but from all accounts is expected to stretch a bit with wear, which will make the fit perfect.
