While I appreciate the added support missing from the Tree Runners, everything else falls short in comparison.
Material is WAY less breathable, gets warm with just light ankle socks. The shoe feels STIFF compared to most running shoes, and they really hug width-wise. Strange considering how much room there is in the toe box..
Although the Tree Runners are almost dangerous to wear at times with their lack of support and traction, my god are they comfy! You almost instantly forget you're wearing shoes, until you notice how delightfully cushiony the foam is while walking. And they look much cleaner for the office/work environments.
TLDR the Tree Runners are better in every way except support

I have been wearing nothing but Allbirds for several years now. I recently purchased the Mens Dasher NZ and was surprised at the better fit. They are snug and very comfortable. I walk for at least an hour seven days a week and these are by far the most comfortable walking shoes I have ever worn. I am glad I bought three pairs.
