For years, I've worn the Speedcross line. I say this wholeheartedly as, literally, every pair of non-dress shoes I own (including hiking boots) are Salomons. I've always ordered size 12 as that has been my size for almost 40 years. They've always been almost uncomfortably snug out of the box but eventually loosen up, right about the time the worn tread relegates them to yard work shoes. Then I saw a tip online about ordering a half to full size up to get more room in the midfoot and toe box. But I was a bit reluctant since I didnt want floppy clown shoes either. I took a chance on ordering a 12.5 this time. Let me tell you, these are a perfect fit. Crazy comfortable right out of the box. Why didn't I try this sooner? Lesson learned. Love the shoes. Love the style. Love the comfort. I can't even imagine ever wearing anything but Salomons.
