I have "low volume" fleet - perfectly flat, so I need sandals that provide a lot of ways to adjust and tighten to get a secure fit. These appeared to provide that and for most feet they would do the job well, but not for me. I also didn't like the plastic-y feel of the footbed.
Not as comfortable as other Taos Sandals with Cork Insole. I gave these a try a few times inside my house. They are NOT as comfortable as my other Taos Sandals. ALSO: They are NOT as comfortable as my Keen Newport Clogs (similar with webbing) which I use as "House Slippers". The stitching at the Front edge is ROUGH (on the underside of black material) against your toes. By comparison: Keen also has similar stitching near the instep: But NOT as thick a thread AND the Newport waterproof Clog is LINED! At first: I was willing to compromise on one foot not exactly lining up with arch....but I am sending these back even though I really need a new pair of sandals! Plus the straps (or strips of webbing material are rubbing my pinky toe) - again NOT lined on inside. IF you don't have sensitive feet - maybe these will work for you!
I had high hopes for this Taos sandal for work. Sending it back for the toggle bungee design. Its a huge loop extending 4 inches = tripping hazard! And I can't pull it tight enough to. keep shoe on my foot. Taos would do better to stay with the velcro straps. The bungee cord as shoe lace never works. Oh well, back to my never ending search for the perfect black work sandal that doesn't look Orthopedic.
